Joseph Murray (Toao) and Valencia Wood started SoilSound in 2003. SoilSound is a boutique music production company. We bring awareness to sustainable and green lifestyles through our music and multimedia creations.
We produce a variety of music. We have a diverse music catalog including World, Downtempo, Ambient, Orchestral, Nu Jazz, Broken Beat, Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Country, Rock and beyond. SoilSound also produces music in the Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound format. Our music is available for licensing for film, television, games and other interactive media, under SoilSound Music Publishing LLC. But even more interesting, SoilSound combined Downtempo, Soul and Hip-Hop to create a genre that we’ve coined as “Neo Lounge”.
More, we’re different – in a time when artists are forced into a prefab format of what someone else thinks they should be – SoilSound does not fit into that box and has ventured to build and design a company, which creates music that’s different and projects that stretch the creative fabric. SoilSound is the home of several commercial projects, which are available on iTunes and Bandcamp. Joseph records under the monikers, Toao and mX. Recent multimedia creations include, Yoga After Dark and Yoga Imaginarium. Our fans and collaborative friends are spread throughout our global village. We strive to do our small part on this planet.
